Despite my short stay, which was roughly seven months, I never regretted working on that institution. I’ve been blissful even for many opportunities have been going on my way while still working there. So then, I asked if this job was rightfully for me and that I needed to hop on an online career bandenwagon in which my blogger friends preferrably opted and have been happily enjoying the fruits of their labor on the web.
Perhaps, it was out of envy that I decided to really go full-time online. I also had a problem keeping this blog updated so probably, when I would go online that would be remedied.
I think of that as one of my reasons. But primarily,it was when I was approached to partner for an online business that I finally committed to tender my resignation, although at first I was skeptical.
TekWorx Mobile and Web Services is the fruit of that fateful night when a blogger fried, Cebu TechBlogger, approached me to pitch his desire for a mobile marketing firm. And so, we initially brainstormed and the rest was history.
While he introduced me about mobile marketing, I worked on for my certification as an Inbound marketing professional of Inbound Marketintg University administered by HubSpot. Fortunately, I passed the exam with fying colors. Aside from receiving a certication, I also had the Honor’s Distinction.
May was also very eventful for me. I became one of the organizers of the first ever Startup Weekend Cebu. I joined an Entrepreneurial Camp organized by PhilDev and with Dado Banatao as one of the keynote speakers.
In the blogging organization in which I have become a member since 2010, I was elected for the position of vice-presidency-external.
Opportunities were coming in and there were 4 or more companies asking for my resume. Not that I have to brag, but I am stating one fact to… brag about.. yeah, obviously.
Anyway, I am still reeling for more opportunities. Become a Money Magnet as John Calub would say.
